General Information:
The Fulbright -Hays Seminars Abroad Program provides opportunities for educators and administrators with the responsibilities for curriculum development in fields related to humanities, languages, social sciences and area studies.

Purpose:
The purpose of this program is to improve knowledge and understanding of the cultures and peoples of non-Western European countries.

The seminars were created under the Mutual Educational and Cultural Exchange (Fulbright-Hays) Act of 1961. The J. William Fulbright Foreign Scholarship Board (FSB) has the overall responsibility for managing the Fulbright Program worldwide, including these seminars.
