One of the wonderful partnerships that TUSEF has had is with the John E. Peurifoy Memorial Foundation. The Foundation has been providing funding support since 1962 to our Fulbright grantees who study at Tufts University.
In 2005, it has generously funded the studies of Ms. Phinyada Atchatavivan who is a second year graduate student pursuing the Master of Arts in Law and Diplomacy (MALD) degree at the Fletcher School, Tufts University.
The John E. Peurifoy Memorial Foundation was established in Thailand in remembrance of John Emil Peurifoy, U.S. Ambassador to Thailand (1954-1955) and a sound diplomat, who perished in a tragic car accident around Hua Hin during his term. As Ambassador Peurifoy was a Fulbright Scholar and also a graduate of the Fletcher School of Law and Diplomacy, Tufts University, the Foundation offers grants to students of similar background. Currently, the John E. Peurifoy Memorial Foundation Board is chaired by Dr. Arthit Ourairat, founder and President of Rangsit University.
Our sincere thanks and appreciation go to the Foundation!
