  SCHOLARS
   
  American Visiting Scholar Program (4-6 months)
  Recruitment and selection are made through the Council for International Exchange of Scholars (CIES) during April-July of each year. Applicants will be accepted in all disciplines. Affiliation is to be arranged but applicants may express their preference. Potential activities may include lecturing, research, or giving consultation on curriculum and faculty development.

  Fulbright Senior Specialist Program (2-6 weeks)
  The program will provide U.S. academics who can function as expert advisors and lecturers on a variety of subject areas, as well as curriculum and faculty development and institutional planning issues. The Senior Specialist Program is also intended to encourage long-term collaborative relationships and foster affiliations between U.S. and foreign institutions.

Until further notice, requests will be accepted and academic experts will be recruited for the following fields: Anthropology/Archaeology, Business Administration, Communications and Journalism, Economics, Education, Environmental Science, Information Technology, Law, Library Science, Political Science/ Public Administration, Public / Global Health, Peace and Conflict Resolution Studies, Sociology and Social Work, U.S. Studies (e.g. Art, Art History, Dance, Economics, Government, History, Literature, Music, Popular Culture, Theatre), and Urban Planning.

Costs for the Fulbright Senior Specialist Program will be shared by ECA/A/E and the Thai host instituion. ECA/A/E will pay for international travel and a daily honorarium of US$200. Host institutions will be asked to cover the Fulbrighters’ lodging, meals, and in-country travel.

  Fulbright Teacher & Administrator Exchange Program
  This Exchange program provides opportunities for Thai qualified educators/administrators from elementary and secondary schools, two-year colleges, and teacher training institutes and universities to participate in direct exchanges of positions with colleagues from the U.S. for six weeks. Administrator exchanges consist of reciprocal six-week visits to each administrator’s institution.

A U.S. administrator will work together with a Thai administrator as a team, shadowing and sharing administrative duties, living and working in the cultures of their host countries, administrators acquire by an experience that has benefits for the teachers, their schools, and their communities. Exchanges may be in the areas of personnel administration, curriculum development, student affairs, or educational policy and methodology.

  STUDENTS
   
  American Student/Junior Researcher Program
  The Foundation provides opportunities for American master’s level or Ph.D. candidates to undertake research projects in a broad range of disciplines. Students affiliate with an academic institution in Thailand for a period of 10 months.

  Fulbright English Teaching Assistantship (ETA)
  The Fulbright English Teaching Assistantship Program in Thailand places Americans as English Conversation teachers in secondary schools outsides of Bangkok. Though called English Teaching Assistants, most ETAs, like gradute assistants in American universities, have full responsibility for developing lesson plan and teaching conversation to their classes. Open to all U.S. graduating seniors or recent graduates. No Thai language skills and no prior teaching experience are required.
