  General Information / Provisions:
  There is no form for the Thais to file a request for a U.S. Visiting professor. The usual procedure requires that you identify U.S. scholars whom you want to work with and have them apply at the Council for International Exchanges of Scholars (CIES), our recruiting agency in Washington, D.C. under ‘any field’ category before August 1 of each year. Area of expertise for this grant is unlimited.

Application is during April-July of every year. The deadline is August 1. Those interested U.S. scholars can obtain more information and application materials from the website: www.cies.org

  General Information / Provisions:
  This program will provide U.S. academics who can function as expert advisors and lecturers on a variety of subject areas, as well as curriculum and faculty development and institutional planning issues.

Requests will be accepted and academic experts will be recruited for the following fields: Anthropology/ Archaeology, Business Administration, Communications and Journalism, Economics, Education, Environmental Science, Information Technology, Law, Library Science, Political Science/ Public Administration, Public/ Global Health, Peace and Conflict Resolution Studies, Sociology and Social Work, U.S. Studies (e.g. art, art history, dance, economics, government, history, literature, music, popular culture, theatre), and Urban Planning.

Costs for the Fulbright Senior Specialist Program will be shared by ECA/A/E and the host institutions. The office in Washington will pay for international travel and a daily honorarium of US$ 200. Host institutions will be asked to cover the Fulbrighters’ lodging, meals, and in-country travel.

If you are interested in hosting a Fulbright Senior specialist, please contact the Foundation for further detail. There is the form that the host needs to complete for our further consideration. If your request has been approved by the selection committee, we will forward your request to Washington in order to find an appropriate scholar for your project.

   
 
  General Information / Provisions:
  The American Scholars on the attached list are Fulbright lecturers/researchers, consultants and junior research scholars/students who are in Thailand during this academic year under programs of the Thailand-United States Educational Foundation. In addition to their principal assignment or project, they are available to participate in programs at institutions, government agencies, or other organizations on an occasional basis.

The Foundation will be pleased to act as liaison to coordinate visits by these scholars.
