Interview Results for 3 Fulbright Visiting Scholar Programs: 2019 USAS, TVS & JRS



Fulbright Thailand is pleased to announce the interview results for the 3 Fulbright Visiting Scholar Programs under the 2019 academic year. The name lists of the following selected candidates are in alphabetical order:

 

 

2019 FULBRIGHT U.S.-ASEAN VISITING SCHOLAR PROGRAM (USAS)

 

  1. Dr. Pitaya Thipwajana, Institute of Community Colleges
  2. Assoc. Prof. Dr. Punchada Sirivunnabood, Faculty of Social Sciences and Humanities, Mahidol University
  3. Dr. Theepakorn Jithitikulchai, World Bank Group

 

The list of the 3 recommended candidates along with their final online applications have been submitted to the U.S. Mission to ASEAN in Jakarta for regional nomination and final competition. A panel comprised of representatives from the Mission and ASEAN officials will conduct a final review of all of the country-nominated applicants to nominate 2 principals and 1 alternate for the region as a whole and to send these onward to the Fulbright Foreign Scholarship Board (FSB). The final result and notification will be conveyed by April 2019.

 

 

2019 FULBRIGHT THAI VISITING SCHOLAR PROGRAM (TVS)

  • CANDIDATES UNDER FULBRIGHT – THAILAND RESEARCH FUND AWARDS:

  2. Ms. Narisara Jaikaew, Sirindhorn International Institute of Technology (SIIT), Thammasat University
  3. Ms. Porntip Potirat, Faculty of Medicine Siriraj Hospital, Mahidol University

 

 

Please note that the alternate candidates may be awarded if the principal candidates cannot accept the grant or in the event that their home and/or host institutions agree to provide full financial support to cover the grant.

 

Each recommended senior and junior scholar will be required to complete another final online application which will be submitted to the Bureau of Educational and Cultural Affairs (ECA), U.S. Department of State and the J. William Fulbright Foreign Scholarship Board for final approval of their grants, and to the Institute of International Education (IIE) in Washington, D.C. for placement confirmation.
