Fulbright English Teaching Assistant (ETA) Program
Journey to the New Horizon

I highly recommend the Fulbright program to anyone seeking a transformative, community-centered experience. Living and teaching in Chanthaburi, Thailand pushed me to grow in ways I never expected. I learned to communicate across language barriers, adapt to new cultural norms, and connect deeply with my students and host community. From morning assemblies to shared meals and temple visits, every day offered opportunities for learning and connection. Fulbright gave me the chance to not just teach English, but to build relationships rooted in mutual respect and curiosity. It’s an unforgettable experience that continues to shape how I see the world.

ABOUT ETA
The Fulbright English Teaching Assistant (ETA) Program, managed by the Thailand–United States Education Foundation (TUSEF) with support from the Thai and U.S. governments, places American ETAs in schools across Thailand to support English language teaching and learning. Working alongside local educators, ETAs contribute to classroom instruction while fostering meaningful cultural exchange. Through daily interaction with students, teachers, and communities, the program strengthens people-to-people ties and deepens mutual understanding between Thailand and the United States.
