SHORT-TERM, FOCUSED ENGAGEMENT
Prospective Host: Universities, Government Agencies, NGOs
U.S. Specialist Program
2-6 weeks
The Program offers short-term, on-demand expertise to host institutions. It allows American scholars and professionals to participate without long absences and provides host institutions with experienced partners for focused, high-impact collaboration. Universities, government agencies (e.g. ministry, research center, museums, conservatories, hospital and public health organization), and non-profit organizations may apply to host a U.S. specialist. Typically, the host institution provides local accommodation, meals, and transportation, either in cash or in kind, while Fulbright covers the honorarium, international flights, visas, and other travel-related expenses.

The ETA Program inspires Thai students across primary, secondary, and vocational levels to embrace English and pursue lifelong learning through the lens of American culture. By inviting ETAs to immerse themselves in the Thai way of life, this exchange strengthens the bonds between our nations and fulfills Fulbright’s mission of building mutual understanding and lasting impact.
